Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup white chocolate chips (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch pan with foil, lightly spraying it with cooking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in cocoa powder and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together eggs, sugar, and vegetable oil until light and foamy. Add the melted butter/cocoa mixture and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined; pour into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
  6. For decoration, fill a ziplock bag with melted white chocolate, snip off one corner, and pipe spider web shapes on top.
