  • 2 tablespoons culinary matcha powder (sifted)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups milk
  • 2 ⅓ cups mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon culinary matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in sifted matcha powder and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, mix mochiko, sea salt, and additional matcha powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture while alternating with milk; mix until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. For the ganache, heat heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until boiling. Stir in white chocolate chips until melted and smooth; add matcha powder and mix well.
  6. Allow brownies to cool before cutting into squares and drizzling with ganache.
