  • 2¼ cups chicken or vegetable broth

  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Optional: fresh dill, crumbled feta

Instructions

  2. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the rice and toast for 1–2 minutes while stirring frequently.
  4. Pour in broth along with oregano, salt, and pepper; stir well and bring to a boil.
  5. Cover the saucepan with a lid and reduce heat to low; simmer for 15–18 minutes until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice, zest, parsley, and dill if using.
  7. Fluff the rice gently with a fork before serving warm.
