Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel (optional) and slice apples into 1/2-inch wedges, removing the core and seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Coat each apple slice in flour, then dip in egg, followed by pressing into the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange apple slices in a single layer in the basket and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown.
