Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 strips turkey bacon
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon: Cut into small pieces and fry in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken: Slice each breast in half lengthwise to create cutlets. Season with garlic powder and pepper, then coat lightly in flour.
  3. Cook the chicken: In the same skillet with remaining bacon fat, cook the floured cutlets for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  4. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add chicken broth, lemon juice, and butter; simmer until reduced by half (3-4 minutes). Stir in heavy cream until bubbling, then return chicken and bacon to the skillet.
  5. Combine everything: Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
