  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add sliced chicken breasts seasoned with Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly until combined, then gradually add grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Return cooked chicken to the skillet with sauce, then add drained pasta. Toss gently and adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
