  • 1/3 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups ripe peaches, diced
  • 1/2 cup + extra turbinado sugar (or granulated sugar)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (or dairy-free milk)
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tsp whole milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Dice the peaches.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter with turbinado sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in diced peaches.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Transfer batter to a greased loaf pan and sprinkle additional turbinado sugar on top.
  5. Bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Cool for 3–5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with milk to desired consistency and drizzle over cooled bread.
