  • 2 Granny Smith apples (cubed)
  • 1 cup water plus 1 tablespoon (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 25 caramel squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet (13×18) with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix water and lemon juice. Core and cube apples, placing them in the lemon water to prevent browning.
  3. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour melted chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread evenly.
  5. Press pretzels into the melted chocolate layer.
  6. Drain and dry the apples thoroughly before adding them on top of the pretzels.
  7. Melt caramel squares with 1 teaspoon water until smooth; drizzle over pretzel layer.
  8. Drizzle remaining melted chocolate over the apple layer.
  9. Refrigerate until completely set, then cut into pieces.
