  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Pour in chicken broth; bring to a boil. Add cubed butternut squash, thyme, sage, and red pepper flakes. Reduce heat to simmer for 15-20 minutes until squash is tender.
  4. Blend the soup until smooth using a hand blender or regular blender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and tortellini; cook for another 5-7 minutes until tortellini are tender.
