  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, cook the beef until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry the broccoli and onion in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil.
  5. Return beef to skillet and pour in the sauce; mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Add cooked noodles; toss everything to coat evenly.
