  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan. Heat until boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for one minute.
  2. Remove from heat and strain the tea into a measuring cup or pitcher. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Fill two tall glasses with ice and add 4-5 mint leaves to each.
  4. Pour in ½ cup of apple juice (or apple soda) per glass followed by ½ cup of brewed tea. Stir in 1 teaspoon of lime juice per glass.
  5. Top with fresh apple slices and lemon wedges before serving.
