Ingredients

Scale
  • 3¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup + 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • 1½ cups apple butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse flour and salt. Add cold butter cubes and pulse until pea-sized. Gradually add ice-cold water until shaggy crumbles form. Divide dough into two discs, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together apple butter, eggs, sweetened condensed milk, flour, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and cream until smooth.
  4. Pour filling into par-baked crust and bake at 375°F for about 40–45 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  5. Let cool completely before slicing.
